Our dojo is located on the local college field. It is the only building on the field so is hard to miss.

Brief History of Club

Waipukurau dojo has been around for many years with Sensei Tonk Morgan instructing for much of that time.

Main Instructor

Sensei Iona Svenson, Yondan (4th Dan)

Iona has trained for approximately 17 years and has spent her karate career in Waipukurau. She attained her Shodan in 1993, her Nidan in 1996, her Sandan in 2002 and graded to Yondan under Higaonna Sensei in 2007. Iona has many other interests outside of karate including cycling and triathlons.
